FREE Self-guided driving tour, held every year on the first Saturday in June. 

Pick your own route, set your own pace, and enjoy a wide variety of art by talented artists displaying their work in their home studios or host locations. The self-guided driving tour winds about a 25-mile radius all within scenic Albany Township, this year with a satellite location hosted by the Hamburg Area Arts Alliance at Etchberger Memorial Park in Hamburg.

Jeff has been carving wooden decoys for almost 30 years, and most of his decoys are considered “Contemporary Antique.” Using the same tools as the great carvers of the past, he tries to make each decoy look like it was used 100 years ago. He has competed in the “antique style” category at major decoy contests, and his greatest carving accomplishment was placing second best of show at the Ward Foundation World Championship competition. He has received over ten Best of Show ribbons from competitions along the east coast.

2024 marks the 50th year of Jon’s profession as a painter and graphic artist. Jon estimates that he has created more than 2,500 original paintings and designed 30,000 graphics for private and corporate businesses, as well as government and religious institutions. Jon has been instrumental in documenting the landscape of Berks County through his art. He has published three books and mounted fifteen solo exhibitions featuring works created in egg tempera, oil, watercolor, and pencil and ink. He founded the Albany Township Historical Society in 1997 as a vehicle to preserve the rich cultural heritage of northern Berks County.

Jon hikes the gentle declivities surrounding his art gallery in Kempton. He is often alone but never lonesome as he draws inspiration from the rustic unspoiled scenery, the awesome sunsets and atmospherics of the Kittatinny Ridge, and the iconic farmsteads of Pennsylvania Dutch Country.

After visiting Hamburg Area Arts Alliance members at the Park, be sure to travel a few short blocks to the Art & Craft Gallery of Hamburg located at 320 State Street in downtown Hamburg. There you will find handmade creations and artwork from over 30 local artists – all for sale at affordable prices. The Gallery is open 10 am - 5 pm the day of the event.
