Daniel Rubenstein, Ph.D.
Pennington, NJ
Elected 2022. First term ends 2026.
Dan is a full professor and named chair, the Class of 1877 Professor of Zoology, at Princeton University where his research focuses on decision-making in animals, particularly equids—horses, zebras, and asses. A native of Long Island, he grew up fishing and boating, but also hiking and bird watching.
He married his long-time sweetheart Nancy the day after his undergraduate graduation, and the two now have two children and three grandchildren, all who live within two hours of their home. When he’s not spending time in Africa or with his family, he enjoys bird watching, photography, running, hiking, x-country skiing, and wood working.
