Sara is a Policy Specialist with PASA Sustainable Agriculture and a former policy director for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. She considers herself a beginning forest farmer and enjoys league tennis, lounge piano, and gardening.

“Hawk Mountain Sanctuary’s origin has always beguiled me and helping wildlife—especially birds—makes the world seem like a better place,” she says.

Sara resides with her husband Steve in Mechanicsburg and Essex, NY, and has two grown daughters who live in London.
