B.A. Science Writing with a minor in Spanish Culture Studies. Joined Hawk Mountain in 2024.

Following her studies at Millersville University, Laura found herself at Hawk Mountain as the communications intern in the summer and fall of 2022. She was hired on as part-time communications staff until she left in late summer of 2023 to pursue a marketing position at a wildlife rescue center in Costa Rica. After a full year living abroad and working in the tropics, Laura migrated back to Hawk Mountain as full-time staff in the fall of 2024.

Laura works closely with Mary, Tammy, and Gigi on communications and fundraising campaigns aimed to promote the Sanctuary mission. She uses her photography, videography, and writing skills to create impactful content for the Hawk Mountain social media platforms, website, and seasonal newsletter.

Outside of work hours, Laura enjoys hiking, birding, and adding more stamps to her passport.
