M.S. Natural Resource Ecology and Management. Joined Hawk Mountain in 2024.

Megan oversees the local-to-global educational platform at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, including the education trainee program, summer camp, field trips, and off-site programs that inspire learners of all ages and backgrounds to take action for raptor conservation.

After spending a few years training as a scientist, Megan discovered her true passion is education and empowering others to use science as a tool to make positive change in their lives and communities. She has designed and implemented impactful educational programs for diverse audiences across formal, informal, and field settings. She has extensive experience training and mentoring teams of educators and interns in non-profit settings. Her expertise in co-creation and fostering collaborative relationships with partner organizations, community members, and youth will enhance the Sanctuary’s mission to create meaningful, action-oriented educational experiences.

Outside of her professional life, Megan loves adventuring in the mountains with her partner and dogs, nurturing over 100 house plants, thrifting for vintage treasures, and experimenting in the kitchen.
