Ph.D. Wildlife Biology. Joined Hawk Mountain in 2021.

After completing her bachelor's in Environmental Biology at Millersville University, Rebecca joined the 2014 Spring Conservation Science cohort at Hawk Mountain. She then went on to receive her master’s studying the nesting behavior of broad-winged hawks then immediately pursued her Ph.D. studying the winter ecology of snowy owls. Rebecca joined the staff full time in 2021, serving as one of the Sanctuary's research biologists. Her research focuses broadly on movement and nesting ecology and she is involved with Hawk Mountain's numerous long-term projects including the fall migration count, American kestrel, broad-winged hawk and snowy owl research. She also serves as a mentor to trainees and assists in all areas of conservation science outreach and research.
