Black-eyed Susans

Summer blooms have definitely arrived at Hawk Mountain's Acopian Center for Conservation Learning, which is surrounded by the bright yellow of black-eyed susans (Rudbeckia hirta). These perennial flowers are one of the most popular wildflowers in North America, and they usually blanket large, open fields.
