Juvenal’s Duskywing
Posted on in Recent Sightings by Hawk Mountain

Juvenal’s Duskywing (Erynnis juvenalis) butterflies have been seen out on Owl’s Head. Juvenal’s Duskywing can be found in the Eastern United states and Canada. They produce just one brood a year. Male and females are very similar in appearance, both having brown upper side wings with two to four white spots, but females appear darker in color.
