Quantum donates mobility chairs to Hawk Mountain

Quantum, the leading, international manufacturer of wheelchairs, power chairs, and other durable medical and mobility devices, recently donated both a Quantum Power Chair and an ultra-light wheelchair for use by Sanctuary visitors with limited mobility.
“Our motivation is to give back to the community and now that Hawk Mountain has opened its first Accessible Trail, we wanted to do our part to offer mobility for some of the Sanctuary’s guests,” says Mark Smith, the General Manager at Quantum.
Both chairs will be made available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis during regular at the Visitor Center and at absolutely no charge, save for a credit card hold.
"This is a fantastic in-kind gift," says Hawk Mountain President Jerry Regan. "Any individual who relies upon a helper can now reach the South Lookout without any assistance whatsoever," he says.
"The chair is really the creme-de-la-creme of power devices. It's extremely easy to use, requires little to no instruction, and is specially designed for use in the outdoors," Regan adds.
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is the world's first refuge for birds of prey and an international center for raptor migration. The 2,500-acre Sanctuary in east central Pennsylvania is recognized as one of the best places in northeastern North America to watch the annual migration of hawks, eagles and falcons each autumn.
